The Concept Behind the Project:

NTA is responsible for the construction of the Tel Aviv Light Rail, a large-scale project involving several contractors and various stakeholders, including companies such as Solel Boneh and Danya Cebus. Our task was to create a security system to oversee the entire construction process, both underground and above ground, providing a professional and advanced solution for all construction sites.

The challenge was not only to provide a security solution but also to avoid any potential disruptions caused by working with multiple companies under changing conditions, while ensuring strict safety protocols were followed.

Our Process

Initial Planning: The work began by receiving detailed plans of the areas requiring security and monitoring. Collaboration with engineers and other teams was essential for precise planning of the system, taking into account factors such as construction site conditions.
At this stage, we evaluated all parameters that could impact the system, including potential issues on site, coordination with various stakeholders, and adherence to safety protocols.

Adapting and Upgrading Plans on Site: During the execution phase, adjustments and upgrades were necessary based on challenges encountered on the ground. New solutions were implemented alongside continuous monitoring of every stage of the project.

Installing Security Cameras on the Light Rail Cars: In collaboration with the City of Tel Aviv and NTA, two light rail cars were placed on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv as a demonstration of the project. The goal was to present the light rail model to the public, but in addition, the client requested 24/7 security for the cars, which were situated in a location without an electricity supply.

The Solution:
Since there was no available electricity source, we installed solar panels and batteries on the roofs of the light rail cars to provide an independent power supply. Additionally, security cameras were installed inside and around the cars to ensure comprehensive surveillance.

Main Challenges During the Work:

  • Coordination Between Stakeholders:
Working with multiple contractors and stakeholders required close and precise collaboration at every stage of the project.

  • Special Working Conditions:
Construction sites require adherence to stringent safety standards, and many of the tasks involved work at height, necessitating the proper permits. Each phase of the security system was tailored to meet these conditions, ensuring both safety and precision in execution.

The Outcome:

We successfully provided an advanced and comprehensive security solution for all phases of the project, from underground construction to the public display of the light rail cars. The system was adapted to every site condition and included a completely self-sufficient power solution, ensuring 24/7 security while maintaining reliability and durability over time.
